Some Eagles season-ticket holders have received emails linking to two extensive surveys about possible renovations to the Lincoln Financial Field or the construction of a new stadium, writes Gabriela Carroll for The Philadelphia Inquirer.
Over the last year, team owner Jeffrey Lurie and the Birds have repeatedly hinted at possible renovations to the Linc, which opened in 2003, and the surveys suggest that the idea is entering a more exploratory stage.
“As we look to the future, we’re committed to delivering a best-in-class gameday experience for Philadelphia Eagles fans,” noted the email accompanying the survey. “To help guide this vision, we’re exploring potential updates to Lincoln Financial Field – including both renovation options and the possibility of a brand new stadium in the region.”
The email added that the fans’ feedback will be used “to help shape the future of Eagles gamedays.”
Both the renovation options and a potential new stadium are still in play as of right now.
Some survey questions about a new stadium ask how far fans would be willing to travel for home games, their preferences on roof options, and their thoughts on a potential personal seat license program.
