White Dog Café in Glen Mills Has Yappy Hour for Dogs and Owners

The White Dog Cafe Glen Mills offers Wednesday evening Yappy Hours that focus on dogs and their owners, future and present.

The White Dog Cafe in Glen Mills is known for its good food and dog-themed atmosphere with dog paintings on the walls.

Artist Jay McClellan was commissioned by White Dog when it first opened to paint 50 portraits of patrons’ dogs, according to Jami Blackburn, director of Public Relations for Fearless Restaurants, owners of the White Dog chain.

Well-behaved pups are welcome on the patio.

On Wednesday evenings, it’s Yappy Hour from 4 to 6 PM, when dogs are offered their own special menu and pet-centric businesses are featured.

On the first Wednesday of each month, patrons can check out puppies available for adoption that are brought over by the Providence  Animal Center.

Blackburn said the restaurant is also featuring a unique fundraiser this year for Alpha Bravo Canine, which trains service dogs for U.S. military veterans suffering from PTSD.

The restaurant is selling a cocktail table book called The Dogs of White Café.

“So anybody can purchase a page in the book,” Blackburn said.

For $250, dog photographer Carol Arscott will photograph your dog to go into the book, along with its story.
