For a Different Kind of Sweet, Visit the Sweet Spot in Newtown Square

Sweet Spot can mix ice cream and novel candy for a unique sweet treat.

There’s a shop in Newtown Square that can cover all of your sweet tooth cravings, be it gelatos, ice cream, candy, or soda, reports Jennaphr Frederick for Fox 29.

Sweet Spot has been open at 12 St. Albans Circle since April, having been transplanted from its original location in Broomall.

The shop mixes and matches combinations of unique flavors and styles.

It features gelatos imported from Italy, available in a cup or cone, as well as a Bombolone, an Italian donut filled with your choice of gelato and topped with powdered sugar.

Feel free to add unique sprinkles such as “Mermaid Splash,” “Pizza Pizzazz,” and “Super Hero,” or include Nutella and whipped cream.

The Sweet Spot also has the fixings for an Affogato, a gelato with espresso, whipped cream, a caramel drizzle, and a wafer.

“It’s phenomenal,” says Patrizia, the owner.

“Loaded milkshakes are very popular right now, so you get your milkshake and you get a treat with it at the same exact time,” she adds.

For soda lovers, try the ranch dressing, pickle-flavored, peanut butter & jelly, or buffalo wing soda.

The store also features novelty and specialty candies from Italy, Mexico, and Japan.
