Jason Kelce may no longer be playing for the Philadelphia Eagles, but he’s still an Eagle nonetheless.
The Haverford Township resident is helping out this week at the Philadelphia Eagles training camp at the NovaCorp complex, writes Gabriella Carroll for The Philadelphia Inquirer.
Kelce’s role at the camp is strictly “unofficial,” but the former center is “always welcome here,” said offensive line coach Jeff Stoutland.
Kelce, dressed in staff attire that includes an Eagles long-sleeve shirt, black shorts, and a wide-brim white hat, has no trouble blending in with the coaches.
He was there for the first day last Wednesday, and appeared again on Tuesday to share his expertise with Stoutland and his group.
For his part, Stoutland has encouraged Kelce to come out as much as possible to help out.
“He’s part of us. He’s a part of our family. So when he has time, I always tell him, ‘Get over here. Help us. Help these young players out.’”
Kelce hasn’t gone into coaching yet. He’ll be back at Monday Night Countdown on ESPN this season, but he’s happy to share his secrets with the next generation of players.
