Comcast recently announced it is raising the price of Peacock to subscribers, effective July 23, writes Lucas Shaw for Bloomberg.
As of July 23, Peacock will be raising its price by $3 a month for new customers, representing a nearly 38 percent increase.
New subscribers who have the version with advertisements will see their monthly rate rise to $11 a month, while those without ads will see their monthly cost increase to $17.
Meanwhile, current customers will see their monthly rates increase starting August 22.
Peacock is joining a number of other streaming services who have also recently raised costs as they seek more profits.
Peacock saw a $215 million loss on sales of $1.2 billion in the first quarter of 2025.
The streaming service currently has about 41 million subscribers.
Peacock’s imminent price increase is its biggest since the platform was launched in April 2020. It will make it the most expensive among its rivals, increasing HBO Max and Hulu.
