JAG Physical Therapy Moves into Havertown in Expansion Plan

JAG Physical Therapy is expanding its Philadelphia regional footprint by acquiring Penn Therapy Associates in Havertown.

JAG Physical Therapy continues to move into the Philadelphia market with the recent purchase of Penn Therapy Associates in Havertown, writes John George for Philadelphia Business Journal.

Penn Therapy Associates was founded in Broomall by Mark E. Reitz in 1984. It relocated to the 2010 West Chester Pike in Havertown in 1999.

“Our patients and staff are in good hands,” Reitz said of the acquisition.

Alphonso Berry, with Penn Therapy Associates for more than five years, will be the clinical director of JAG Physical Therapy’s Havertown location.

JAG, a North Jersey company founded in 2005, operates physical and occupational therapy practices with 165 locations in New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania.

The latest acquisition brings its total to eight locations in the region.

John Gallucci Jr., JAG CEO, said more acquisitions are likely on the way in the area without offering specifics.

“I’m not really a numbers guy,” he said. “As opportunities present themselves, we will definitely have the ability to grow in the Philadelphia market and in the Pennsylvania market.”

Part of its expansion includes moving into the Lehigh Valley area in the near future, and he expects to be in southern Connecticut in late 2025 or early 2026.
