Citizen’s Park Unavailable? Here’s 3 Delaware County Sports Bar to Fill in

These Delaware County sports bars are filled with Phillies fans.

Delaware County sports bars are the best place to watch the Phillies when you can’t get over to Citizens Bank Park.

Here in Delaware County, there are three sports bars worth checking out, writes Michele Edington for Main Line Tonight.

Barnaby’s Restaurant & Pub, a chain in Havertown, Media and West Chester gets crowded with fans on game days. TVs are found in every direction.

The beer list has local and national favorites. There’s classic wings, nachos and burgers, a rowdy, no-frills location to watch the game.

PJ Whelihan’s, a Phillies-friendly chain with a location in Broomall and Newtown Square has plenty of seating, dozens of TVs,  and enthusiastic fans in Phillies gear.

It’s known for its wings and sauces, and there is a rotating choice of drafts along with bar specials.

The Great American Pub in Wayne has a lot of space, energy and comes a little more polished than typical sports bars, offering a sports bar energy with refinement. A game-day martini would work here.

There’s a mix of craft brews and game-day staples, but the menu, from seafood pasta to grilled ribeye, is the stand out.
