West Chester University has organized 16 separate commencement ceremonies to accommodate 3,176* spring graduates and their guests.

The campus ceremonies take place between Friday, May 9, and Sunday, May 11, in Emilie K. Asplundh Concert Hall in Philips Memorial Building and Hollinger Field House.

There are 2,443 students* eligible to graduate at West Chester University’s undergraduate commencement ceremonies. Undergraduate students will graduate by department and College.

Also, two ceremonies for the 733* graduate-level candidates will take place on Saturday, May 10: The 3:00 PM ceremony in Hollinger for graduates of the College of Education and Social Work, College of the Sciences and Mathematics; and the 6:00 PM ceremony in Hollinger for graduates of the College of Arts and Humanities, Business and Public Management, Health Sciences, and Wells School of Music.

WCU’s Philadelphia location will host two commencement ceremonies for May and August 2025 graduates on Saturday, May 10, at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Center City Philadelphia (237 South Broad Street, Philadelphia 19107). The undergraduate ceremony for 56 students will begin at 9:30 AM, and the graduate ceremony for 48 students will begin at 12:00 PM, both will be livestreamed.

The procession for each hour-long ceremony begins 15 minutes prior to the ceremony start time. Tickets are required for guests three years of age and older. All ceremonies will be livestreamed.

*Combined with the numbers of graduates from the University’s fall commencement last December, WCU has graduated a total of 4,193 students (both undergraduate and graduate) for the academic year 2024-2025: 3,212 undergraduates and 981 graduates.

Tickets are required for all ceremonies. All ceremonies will be live-streamed for those who do not have a ticket or who are unable to attend. Recordings of all ceremonies will be available here.

Graduating students and their guests are strongly encouraged to park in the garages on New and Sharpless streets, which will be free during the weekend ceremonies.
