A look at Pennsylvania’s top school districts based on test scores once again puts a Delaware County school district among the top 10, writes Ethan Lott for the Philadelphia Business Journal.
Radnor School District placed fourth in the state, just behind Lower Merion School District, which came in third.
The 2025 statewide rankings were based on standardized test scores from the past three years and were put together by the Pittsburgh Business Times.
Radnor has consistently placed among the top school districts in the region, state, and nation.
Other Delaware County school districts with respectable rankings in 2025 included Springfield, which came in at No. 14; Haverford Township, placing 16th; Wallingford-Swarthmore, placing 17th; and Rose Tree Media, which came in 24th.
Further down on the list, Garnet Valley placed 29th, while Marple Newtown placed 74th.
The rankings come from Pennsylvania System of School Assessment scores in math, English, and science, as well as Keystone Exam results for literature, algebra, and biology in the past three years.
The exception is 2022, when many districts had missing data for the Keystone biology test so that data is not included in the Keystone rankings.
