Delaware County ranks sixth in Pennsylvania for income spent on liquor, wine, and cocktails between July 2023 and June 2024, reports The Philadelphia Inquirer.

The county spent $2.53 billion on 156 million units of alcohol, with vodka dominating as the favorite liquor.

In Springfield, ZIP Code  19064, liquor edged out wine, with 164,160 units of liquor sold, 156,032 units of wine sold, and 49,057 units of cocktails sold.

El Jimador Tequila is a particular favorite.

In Upper Darby, liquor was also the popular choice, with 317,026 units sold in ZIP Code 19082, compared to 129,465 units of wine and 22,216 nits of cocktails.

Wray and Nephew Rum is a particular favorite.

Wine outstripped liquor and cocktails for sales in Newtown Square’s 19073 ZIP Code, with 270,423 units of wine sold.

Cakebread Cellars white wine was a popular favorite.

Wine also outpaced liquor and cocktails in Wayne, with 606,966 units sold compared to 273,677 units for liquor and 83,040 units for cocktails.

The sparkling wine Miraval was a popular favorite.

In Aston’s 19014 ZIP Code, liquor dominates, with 64,075 units sold, compared to 39,240 wine units and 15,999 units for cocktails.

A favorite in Aston was Romana Herbal Liqueur.
