Tired Hands Brewing Co., with its origins in Ardmore, is reimaging its brewpub business as it expands with plans for Newtown Square and West Chester, writes Emma Dooling for Philadelphia Business Journal.
The brewery’s first location, the BrewCafe at 16 Ardmore Ave,. has changed its name to Ardmore Brewing Co.
The brewpub will also get a new interior look and offer more food and cocktails as it reduces its beer list.
Owner Jean Broillet IV said Tired Hands has other “cool prospects on the horizon” in Newtown Square and West Chester, declining at the moment to share details.
“There’s nothing like that I know of exists in the States,” he said of the proposed West Chester concept.
Tired Hands has previously operated a beer park in Newtown Square.
Besides the beer park and Ardmore Brewing Co., Tired Hands operates Fermentaria, also in Ardmore, and has taprooms in Kennett Square and Fishtown, along with a biergarten in Mt. Airy.
The company became known for its milkshake-style IPA . It has been a finalist in the James Beard Foundation’s Restaurant and Chef Awards several times, earning it an international reputation.
