Open House Job Fair March 13

Dunwoody Village in Newtown Square is holding an Open House Job Fair and On the Spot Interviews for several positions on Thursday, March 13, from 11 AM to 7 PM, at 3500 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square. 

Applicants must be available to participate in a weekend and holiday rotation with their colleagues if hired.

Kitchen Operations Supervisor

Dunwoody Village is seeking is seeking a full time Kitchen Operations Supervisor. This role will be responsible for hiring, scheduling, and supervision of all servers and utility staff, leads all staff in ensuring the sanitation tasks are completed before, during, and after each shift, and serve as a leader and mentor to all staff members in the department.

Dunwoody Village’s dining operation has been completely expanded and renovated to include two full kitchens, dish rooms, and dining rooms, all of which have state of the art equipment and furnishings for our residents, guests, and staff. 

This job requires working varied shifts and includes participating in a holiday and weekend rotation.

The successful candidate will possess the following:

  • Experience with point-of-service systems care according to a Plan of Care, assisting residents with personal care and hygiene, and providing a safe environment for residents and colleagues. 
  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience in a dining-related supervisory role.
  • A strong desire to provide exceptional dining services to older adults.
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience in Department of Health regulations including temp logs, food storage, and cleanliness.
  • Long term care experience strongly preferred but not necessary.
  • Excellent communication skills as you will interact with residents, family members, and all levels of management.
  • Comfortable with interviewing potential new staff members.
  • RAMP and/or ServSafe certification strongly preferred.

Eligible candidates must meet the following qualifications: 

  • Point Click Care experience is strongly preferred.
  • Must be a PA-licensed Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with current CPR certification.
  • Minimum of 2 years of long-term care experience and excellent assessment skills.

Medical Records Coordinator

Dunwoody Village is seeking an experienced Medical Records Coordinator to join its team.

The Care Center is made up of 81 skilled nursing rooms and 81 personal care rooms and the Medical Records Coordinator serves an integral role in ensuring that operations run smoothly and efficiently. Some of the key essential functions of the position include the following:

  • Responsible for maintaining and coordinating all aspects of the resident medical records and charts.
  • Scheduling appointments and arranging transportation for our residents on our Skilled Nursing units.
  • Scanning medical records and documents for the electronic medical record
  • Closing resident charts and completing discharge summaries within 30-days of discharge.
  • Responding to all requests for medical records.
  • Handling all credentialing for the doctors and other healthcare contractors working at Dunwoody Village.
  • Completing admission, discharge, MD, and nursing audits for all charts to keep in compliance.
  • Requesting medical records from other facilities or hospitals as necessary.

The ideal candidate:

  • Knowledge of medical records regulations and experience with medical records in a CCRC healthcare setting.
  • A minimum of 2 years of broad clerical/administrative experience in a busy medical setting – preferably in a CCRC.
  • Superb administrative skills with a detail-oriented approach to completing tasks.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office – including Word. Working knowledge of Point/Click/Care (PCC) is strongly desired.
  • Proficiency in medical terminology strongly preferred.
