Dunwoody Village celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2024. The community was built on the foundation of William Hood Dunwoody’s legacy. William Dunwoody worked at General Mills and went on to become a partner there.
When he died in 1914, he left a $1 million bequest to build and maintain a convalescent home on the Dunwoody Farm at Newtown Square.
Dunwoody Village opened in 1974 as the area’s first continuing care retirement communities.
Today, it serves more than 400 residents.
Dunwoody Village’s excellent reputation is due in large part to the dedicated, talented, and caring team members who provide exemplary care and service to its residents. It is always on the lookout for people who share that same commitment to excellence and want to join their team.
