The Landenberg Store and the nearby Landenberg Hotel, which were sold to Fenix Capital Group in late 2023, are back on the market for $1.189 million, writes Richard L. Gaw for the Chester County Press.
The two structures, then known as Landenberg Village, were acquired by Bill and Beth Skalish in 2005. They ran the business for 17 years before selling to the current owner for $1.062 million.
Fenix co-owners Aaron Jones and Matt Feldman renamed the complex Landenberg Living, revamped the historic store, and converted the hotel into a six-room “staycation” inn. The goal is to offer visitors a home base for weekend trips exploring Chester County’s attractions and events.
Those staying at the Landenberg Hotel could choose from three-to-four-day packages tailored to their visit. They could pick outdoor sportsman activities, tours of the local winery scene, or something else
“Our goal was to bring something to the community that would have served everyone,” said Feldman.
In November, they decided to offer the two buildings for sale.
“We know that this is a unique sale, and we want to make sure that whoever purchases it succeeds,” said Feldman. “It will be a hand-held experience to prepare them for success.”
