Dominic Condo of Drexel Hill, who experienced the sudden loss of his beloved wife, Daria, has written a book to help others cope with their grief.
“Reflections: A Young Widower’s Journey Through Loss, Hope and Healing” takes readers through his and his family’s gut-wrenching grief journey, healing and ultimately, enduring love, writes Peg DeGrassa for the Daily Times.
Condo met his wife when they were still teenagers. They married on Sept. 11, 1999 and moved from Philadelphia to Drexel Hill.
They welcomed two daughters, Julianna, now 20, and Ava, now 16.
Diana passed away in February 2020 after an 18-month battle with mental health issues that caused her severe depression and anxiety.
They were 46 when she passed, and they had just celebrated 20 years of marriage.
“We shared unconditional love and built the foundation of our family on this love. She was my best friend and my soul mate,” Condo said.
As he worked on healing from his loss, Condo decided to share his experiences in a book.
He hopes to remind readers that even in the darkest moments, hope can take root, and beauty can emerge from pain.
