Forbes has compiled its rankings of America’s 701 best large employers, and three Delaware County companies made the list, writes Rachel Rabkin Peachman for Forbes.
For midsize companies, one Delaware County business was chosen.
SAP, a German company with American headquarters in Newtown Square, came in 400 out of 701 for large companies with more than 5,000 employees.
SAP, an IT software company, was founded in 1972 and employs 105,000 people. It also ranked 64th in 2025 under Canada’s Best Employers.
Substitute Teacher Service in Aston ranked 579 out of 701.
Substitute Teacher Service was founded in 1994 and has 6,350 employees. It was also ranked 323rd in 2024 under America’s Best Employers for Women.
This year, Apple Leisure Group out of Newtown Square came in 357 out of 500 for midsize companies with between 1,000 and 5,000 employees.
Apple Leisure Group provides travel and leisure services. It was founded in 1969 and employs 1,192 people. It was also ranked 372nd in 2024 under Best Employers for New Grads.
The Forbes rankings were based on survey responses from 217,000 employees in the U.S. who were asked about salary, work environment, training programs, and opportunities to advance.
