Three years in the making, the Intown Golf Club in Radnor is ready to open next week, writes Emma Dooling for the Philadelphia Business Journal.
Owner Michael Williamson and his team wanted their newest club to be on the Main Line, where there’s golf history, prominent golf courses and a demographic for its customer base.
“We’ve thought about, and we looked at a lot of real estate in the city. [It] certainly could work there, but for our community that we started with here this was the perfect spot for us,” Williamson said.
Intown Golf Club officially opens Jan. 28 at 201 King of Prussia Road in the Radnor Financial Center.
It is mostly members-only, but non-members can schedule golf lessons and golf club fittings, or visit as a member’s guest.
The 15,000-square-foot club , the largest in the chain, will have eight golf simulator bays, a golf club fitting bay, a bar and dining room, a pro shop, locker rooms, and coworking and meeting space.
Individuals members pay a $6,500 initiation, then $160 to $380 a month in dues. Family membership initiation is $8,0000.
There are also social memberships without golf access.
