Hillary Berenato manages public relations for AmeriHealth Caritas, headquartered in Newtown Square, but also shares her fashion, makeup and skincare preferences on her Instagram blog, Gardenia Avenue.
Berenato, who prefers an edgy, sexy, feminine, but classic and accessible look, has always loved clothes and makeup, writes Eileen Smith Dallabrida for Main Line Today.
She started documenting her outfits and favorite makeup items after she had her second child and felt a need to spend time on herself.
Berenato picks up vintage finds at Malena’s Vintage Boutique in West Chester and hits up Blue Beret in Wayne for kid-related items.
Her best buy was a vintage fur coat at Penny Wise Thrift Shop in Ardmore.
She holds up Sophia Loren, Jayne Mansfield, Marilyn Monroe as her fashion icons.
Her indispensable accessory is confidence, and lots of necklaces and bracelets. .
As for getting older, Berenato says she’s just getting to her best self, helped by a “great skincare routine.”
“Fashion can represent so many versions of yourself,” she said, “One of my favorite quotes is, ‘I’m a million different people from one day to the next,’ from “Bitter Sweet Symphony” by the Verve.”
