3 Charged With Selling Fake Jason Kelce Memorabilia

A South Philadelphia man has been charged with selling fake Jason Kelce memorabilia that includes his forged signature, writes Victor Fiorillo for Philadelphia Magazine.

Jason Kelce’s popularity has meant that anything bearing the Haverford resident’s signature has become a highly sought-after commodity.

But not everything with the former Philadelphia Eagle’s signature necessarily came from Kelce.

The 51-year-old and two Rhode Island residents came up with a plot to bring fake Jason Kelce memorabilia to the marketplace, according to the Montgomery County District Attorney’s office.

Prosecutors say that Capone’s company, Overtime Promotions, was selling items that had a forged Jason Kelce signature.

Court documents allege that there were more than 1,100 fake items, valued around $200,000. The items included signed jerseys, hats, footballs, photos, and helmets.

A Royersford sports memorabilia company notified the DAs office last summer after they had contracted with Kelce for him to sign memorabilia at a private event at the Valley Forge Casino Hotel in June 2024.

The two Rhode Island defendants attended and had their picture taken with Kelce and the memorabilia, creating “evidence” that the goods they were selling was legit.
