World Market opened in Downingtown on Oct. 23, writes Bill Rettew for The Daily Local News.
Located at Brandywine Square at 1050 E. Lancaster Ave., the store sells furniture, home decor, jewelry, gift items, and houseware from across the world. The market also serves food and beverages, which are imported from 50 countries.
The building is 21,500-square-feet, filled with treats, goodies, and knickknacks. It really is a shopper’s dream inside the store.
“We sell experiences and sentiment,” said World Market store manager Josh Ludwig. “We work with artisans and vendors from around the world. Our goal is for our products to tell a story.”
The stocked shelves are changed daily, creating a new experience every time you shop. Seasonal gifts are a huge hit at the store, from Christmas to Valentine’s Day to Diwali.
“We couldn’t ask for a better location next to Wegmans on East Lancaster Avenue in the heart of Downingtown,” Ludwig said. “Customers are so happy that the space is filled with unique gifts.”
World Market is open Monday-Saturday from 10 AM – 8 PM and Sunday from 11 AM – 6 PM.
