With many affluent places to live, Chester County is home to seven of the richest neighborhoods in Pennsylvania, writes Allen Lee for Money Inc. 

On the list of the 50 richest, East Whiteland ranked the highest at No. 20. The township boasts a median household income significantly higher than the national average. Its prosperity is reflected in well-maintained neighborhoods and high-end real estate. 

Malvern is close behind at No. 21. This upscale community features a picturesque landscape, luxurious homes, and well-maintained properties. 

Easttown ranked at No. 35. The township boasts rolling hills, many historic estates, and upscale residential neighborhoods. 

Hamorton is next at No. 38. The picturesque community is known for its rolling hills and scenic landscapes and boasts a mix of historic homes and modern estates. 

Tredyffrin placed at No. 45. The town features an excellent school district and many luxury homes and estates. 

Charlestown, which offers a blend of rural charm and upscale living, is next at No. 47. 

The list is rounded out by West Whiteland at No. 48. The affluent area has many upscale residential developments and well-maintained properties.
