Nifty Fifty's, which already has a location in Warminster, is soon coming to Bristol Township.

Philadelphia-based restaurant chain Nifty Fifty’s is planning to open one of its 1950s-themed eateries in Bristol Township, writes JD Mullane for the Bucks County Courier Times.

The venture by Retro Eats took a step forward last week as franchisee owner Anthony Carotenuto secured a zoning adjustment for the shuttered Bank of America building at the Queen Anne Plaza Shopping Center, thereby reducing the parking requirement from 82 spaces to just 38.

Carotenuto, who also franchises the Warminster Nifty Fifty’s, allayed concerns by Longview Property Group, the shopping plaza’s owner, that Nifty Fifty’s employees and customers will park in spaces reserved for other tenants.

“We don’t want customers complaining about parking, and we definitely don’t want customers parking in somebody else’s spaces,” he said. “That’s something we won’t tolerate, either.”

Carotenuto’s lawyer, Bryce H. McGuigan, compared the new restaurant to the one in Warminster.

“On its greatest day, its greatest demand, Saturday afternoon, they’re never using more than 26-27 spaces, and that includes employees,” he said. “That’s on their greatest day and this is designed to be a very similar restaurant.”

Nifty Fifty’s still has to go through land development.
