Philadelphia Union is the second-fastest growing team in Major League Soccer, according to new research.

The Philadelphia Union soccer team, which has its home base at Subaru Park in Chester, saw a 17 percent increase in revenue and a 91 percent increase in social media following last year, writes Kyle Eve, editor in chief of The Sports Geek.

The team experienced rapid growth in 2024, with its franchise value rising tto $670 million.

On social media, the Union added 290,531 new followers across platforms, with an engaged and expanding fan base both local and nationally.

The team has remained a leader in the MLS due to consistent field performances and deep playoff runs.

On-field success has generated a 54 percent growth rate.

The Union has also invested in youth development and community outreach, boosting its growth.

The Philadelphia Union Foundation built mini-pitches, small customized areas designed for four-a-side soccer programs and pick-up games in underserved communities in the Philadelphia region, and created soccer programs for local youth.

 The team also enjoys the enthusiastic support of the Sons of Ben, which has been responsible for generating a passionate fan base at Subaru Park games.
