Region’s 150 Most Influential People Include 5 With Delaware County Ties
Every year big things are happening in Philadelphia and the region. And every year, Philadelphia Magazine identifies 150 people that are making those big things possible.
This year’s list includes five Delaware County influencers.
In a ranking of the 150 influencers, State Rep. Joanna McClinton came in at No. 15.
McClinton made Pennsylvania history by being the first Black woman to be Pennsylvania Speaker of the House of Representatives.
She also represents the 191st District, which includes Darby Borough, parts of Yeadon Borough and Philadelphia.
State Sen. Anthony Hardy Williams, representing the 8th Senatorial District, and nearly a dozen Delaware County towns, is No. 42 influencer on the list, with 25 years in the Senate and a political legacy.
Atif Saeed, CEO of Philadelphia’s Department of Aviation at No. 45, is the guy overseeing $540 in capital improvement projects for Philadelphia’s airports.
Jason and Kylie Kelce, who live in Haverford, rank 47th. He’s a beer-guzzling, larger-than-life pom king with a heart of gold. She’s a relatively camera-shy field hockey coach and a champion for worthy causes.
Chris Gheysens, CEO of Wawa, came in at 101. He’s overseeing a massive expansion of Wawa stores in Pennsylvania and nationwide.
