Joanne Craig, impact officer for The Foundation for Delaware County, has made a Generocity list celebrating 45 people working in nonprofits who have made a real impact.

Craig was 12th on the list of influential people, writes Sabrina Vourvoulias for Generocity.

She is a member of the Maternal Mortality Review Committee set up by Gov. Tom Wolf.

She has spent 24 years managing grant-funded maternal and child health programs at Crozer-Keystone Health System.

When the foundation mobilized its resources for the pandemic, Craig was part of it, keeping her focus on the people served by the Foundation’s grantees.

“[The] people still seeking food, diapers, baby formula and more week-to-week and month-to-month,” she told Generocity in October 2020. ”The number of people who are behind in their rent and mortgages […] If one cannot afford to pay his or her rent or mortgage now, how will she pay a lump sum to avoid postponed eviction?”

Generocity chose its list based on people nominated by their peers and colleagues.

“Some of them are well-known … others are less visible, flying under the radar even when their service is crucial to the communities they serve,” Vourvoulias writes.
