Pennsylvania’s Top Elementary Schools Include 4 From Delaware County
The Radnor School District can lay claim to three of the top 10 elementary schools in Pennsylvania, based on a ranking of the state’s top 25 public schools.
The Wallingford-Swarthmore School District also snuck in a school among the top 25, reports the Tribune News Service for the Daily Times.
The rankings are provided by Niche, a website that provides data on schools and colleges nationwide.
The Radnor district had the No. 1 school on the list, with Ithan Elementary School in Bryn Mawr. The school’s 482 students have a 77 percent proficiency in math with an 85 percent proficiency in reading.
Radnor Elementary School in Radnor ranked 5th. Its 571 students have a 75 percent proficiency in math and 91 percent proficiency in reading;
Wayne Elementary School in Wayne ranked 9th. Its 542 students have a 66 percent proficiency in math and an 81 percent proficiency in reading.
Finally, Wallingford Elementary School in the Wallingford-Swarthmore School District ranked 25th on the list. Its 552 students have an 80 percent proficiency in math and an 88 percent proficiency in reading.
