Delaware County Hospital Makes National List of Best Medical Centers
A Delaware County hospital was among three medical centers in the Philadelphia area that made Healthgrades’ list of best hospitals in the nation for 2024.
Riddle Hospital in Media was one of two Main Line Health hospitals to make it into the top 50, the other being Lankenau Medical Center in Wynnewood, writes John George for Philadelphia Business Journal.
Healthgrades’ annual rankings are based on an analysis of clinical performance in 30 common procedures and conditions at nearly 4,500 hospitals nationwide.
The analysis generates a list of the country’s top 250 hospitals.
Chester County Hospital in West Chester also made it to the top 50 this year.
“We are proud of receiving this recognition for delivering safe, high-quality, affordable, and equitable health care at our hospitals,” Main Line Health said in a statement. “This is a tribute to all our employees, whose dedication to our patients shines through every day.”
Bryn Mawr Hospital in Bryn Mawr was in the top 250 hospitals on the list.
Lankenau Medical Center and Chester County Hospital also made the top 50 last year.
The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania ranked first in the region for cardiac care, cranial neurosurgery, and gastrointestinal surgery.
