Ryan Ogle will head the 2026 PGA Championship taking place at Aronimink Golf Club in Newtown Square, writes Ryan Sharrow for Philadelphia Business Journal.

This will be the third time Ogle is championship director. He served that role at the 2024 tournament at the Valhalla Golf Club and again at the 2021 event at The Ocean Course at Kiawah Island Golf Resort.

Ogle is a 12-year veteran of the PGA of America. He has also been championship director for the 2016, 2018, and 2020 Senior PGA Championships.

The 2026 PGA Championship in Newtown Square is scheduled for May 14-17.

It coincides with other key events in 2026 for the Philadelphia region, including the 250th anniversary of America’s founding, matches for the FIFA World Cup, and the MLB All-Star game.

Aronimink last hosted a PGA Championship in 1962. The 122-year-old course hosted the 2020 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship but the event was held without fans because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Aronimink ranked at No. 95 on Golf Digest’s list of “America’s 100 Greatest Golf Courses.

The PGA is also bringing the renamed Truist Championship to the Wissahickon Course at the Philadelphia Cricket Club May 8 to 11 in 2025.
