Trainer Rob Rabena Asks Clients to Do Their Best Delco Accent
Rob Rabena wanted to find out who had the best Delco accent so he posted an Instagram video asking his clients to read the sentence “I’m walking home from Wawa and I got a hoagie, water, and a bagel,” in their best Delco accents.
Rabena is the director of Strength and Conditioning at Ivy Rehab in Newtown Square and an adjunct professor at Widener University’s Physical Therapy Department.
“I see clients from across Delco,” said Rabino, who grew up in Wallingford.
The video has over 1,100 likes and more than 35,000 views on Instagram.
Results varied, but Rabena has his favorites, writes Max Bennett for Patch.
Sammy from Wallingford and Gianna from Marple stood out the most, said Rabena.
“The most accurate is Gianna,” he said. “Sammy is a fun one.”
Gabby from Marple had the most authentic accent, Rabena added.
He did call out some, like Alex from Newtown Square, for playing up the accent a bit but said it was all in good fun.
Rabena’s been wanting to post a video showing off the accent to let people know that strength and conditioning training can be fun, even if it is hard work.
