Azie on Main in Villanova Center Closing After 15 Years

Azie on Main is closing after 15 years of service in Villanova.

Azie on Main, a popular Asian Main Line restaurant in Villanova, is closing Sept. 22 following a decision by the landlord to convert the restaurant space to offices, writes Emma Dooling for Philadelphia Business Journal.

Restaurant owner, hospitality group Win Hospitality, is looking at options to relocate the restaurant, currently at 789 E. Lancaster Ave. in the Villanova Center.

“The memories we’ve created, the meals we’ve shared, and the lasting friendships we’re made mean everything to our team,” the post reads. “We are proud of what we’ve built, we thank you for allowing us to be a part of your lives.”

There are two Azie on Main restaurants. The Villanova site opened in 2009. The original restaurant is in Media Borough.

The Villanova restaurant is open for lunch and dinner, with a Sunday brunch, serving soups, salads, noodle and rice dishes and a variety of entrees, including Divers Scallops and Salmon Teriyaki.

Win Hospitality operates four other Asian-fusion restaurants in Greater Philadelphia; the Blue Elephant in Wayne and Pottstown, Teikoku in Newtown Square, and Mikado Thai Pepper in Ardmore.

It is debuting a seventh restaurant next year, the French Vietnamese concept Maison Lotus at 175 Lancaster Ave. in Wayne.
