Pennsylvania Gaming Revenue Up 8.7 Percent From a Year Ago

May was a good month for Pennsylvania casinos, which overall saw an increase in revenue compared to last year.

Pennsylvania gaming revenue soared to $521 million in May, according to Rege Behe for CDC Gaming Reports.

The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board reported an 8.7 percent overall increase in revenue compared to May 2023.

Valley Forge Casino Resort in King of Prussia had a $15 million, or 23.9 percent, increase.

Harrah’s Philadelphia in Chester had a $4 million, or 20.3 percent, increase.

Live! Casino Philadelphia had just less than $5 million, or 18.6 percent, increase.

Leading the way in total Pennsylvania revenue for May was Hollywood Casino at Penn National in Grantsville with gaming revenue of $81.6 million, a 9.8 percent increase compared to May 2023.

Valley Forge Casino Resort had the second highest revenue at $79.6 million.

Parx Casino in Philadelphia posted $56.6 million in revenue, a year-over-year decrease of 3.6 percent.

In May slot revenue, Pennsylvania casinos generated $214.1 million, a slight increase of 1.5 percent compared to May 2023.

Pennsylvania generated $174.1 million in igaming revenue in May.

Hollywood Casino at Penn National led the state in igaming revenue with $65.1 million.

Valley Forge Casino Resort came in next, posting $44.4 million. Rivers Casino Philadelphia was third in igaming revenue, posting $31.3 million.
