New Beginnings for Neshaminy Mall: Paramount Realty Set to Revitalize Bensalem Landmark
Neshaminy Mall, one of Bucks County’s largest and oldest shopping centers, has a new owner. Paramount Realty will finalize the purchase within the next 30 days, writes JD Mullane for the Bucks County Courier Times.
No specific plans have been disclosed by Paramount Realty regarding the 1-million square foot property located at the crossroads of Lincoln Highway/Route 1 and the Pennsylvania Turnpike.
Neshaminy Mall, which opened in the late 1960s, was a major retail hub in its prime, featuring major retailers like Macy’s and Sears. However, the departure of these anchors in recent years left the mall struggling.
Last February, the previous owner, Brookfield Properties, listed the mall for sale “as is,” with potential buyers estimating its value at around $25 million.
The community’s reaction to the sale has been positive, with hopes that Paramount Realty will revitalize the mall.
Paramount Realty, already a prominent presence in Lower Bucks County, has the potential to restore Neshaminy Mall to its former glory.
