This unique event in Longwood Garden’s Open Air Theater features a blend of discussion and live jazz performance, highlighting original compositions by vocalist and composer Ruth Naomi Floyd, intertwined with excerpts from Frederick Douglass‘ impactful speeches and writings.

Kennett Symphony: Symphony Under the Stars—Halls of Magic – June 23rd
A magical evening with the Kennett Symphony, Pennsylvania’s premier professional symphony orchestra, celebrating over 75 years of musical artistry. This summer’s Symphony Under the Stars—Halls of Magic features the enchanting Pictures at an Exhibition by Modest Mussorgsky and Maurice Ravel, alongside the captivating Harry Potter Symphonic Suite with compositions by John Williams, Patrick Doyle, and Alexandre Desplat.
In case of inclement weather, the concert will be held indoors at the Unionville High School auditorium at 740 Unionville Road in Kennett Square.
Symphony Under the Stars tickets are priced at $50, with a special student rate of $10 for those up to 18 years old. Each ticket includes all-day Gardens Admission. Tickets are limited and likely to sell out.
Alan Cumming & Ari Shapiro: “Och & Oy: A Considered Cabaret” – June 30th
