The Philadelphia Inquirer seems to have forgotten that Delaware County also has restaurants, rivers and creeks, sometimes all at once.
In a recent article listing seven suburban restaurants with waterfront views just outside Philly, one particular Delaware County restaurant that offers a particularly nice waterfront view, was left off the list.
Stingers Waterfront in Ridley Park, has a Creekside table for you and it’s only five minutes from the airport.
The restaurant did make it into a May 1, 2023 Philadelphia Inquirer article identifying six riverside bars and restaurants so it hasn’t been totally forgotten.
Stingers sits in the Ridley Township Municipal Marina where you can get a view of the Darby Creek waterfront.
The restaurant serves scallops, mahi-mahi tacos, and a waterfront chicken sandwich with Crab Imperial, bacon and Old Bay mayonnaise.
There’s beer, wines and frozen and non-frozen cocktails.
You can also rent a kayak or canoe from the Marina slip and travel up Darby Creek, where you’ll eventually connect with the John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge.
The latest Inquirer article identifies seven suburban restaurants with waterfront views, including locations in Mount Laurel, NJ; Mount Holly, NJ; Phoenixville, New Hope, Collegeville, and Hawley, PA.
