Full Time Activities Assistant
Dunwoody Village’s Recreation Department is seeking a full-time activities assistant for a Noon to 8 PM shift in its Care Center.
The Recreation Assistant is responsible for developing and implementing both group and individual recreation programs with the goal of keeping residents cognitively, emotionally, and socially fulfilled.
Additional duties include:
- Plan, develop and implement group recreation programs such as exercise class, word games, horticulture, arts and crafts etc.
- Inform Residents of daily events and escort Residents to and from group programs
- Identifies the individual abilities of residents and plans recreation programs to accommodate those abilities.
- Maintains a daily record of resident’s participation in group and individual programs.
- Assists Manager in evaluating the effectiveness of program and participation levels of residents.
To be considered for the job, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Must be able to work a weekend and holiday rotation
- High School graduate
- Proficient in using Microsoft Word, Office, Facetime, and iTunes
- Able to read aloud to a group and or individual
- Demonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision-making skills
- Organization & time management skills
- Able to work both independently and with supervision
- Cheerfulness, positive attitude and the ability to motivate people.
- Genuine liking and respect for the elderly, physically and cognitively impaired.
While candidates are preferred with relevant experience in Long Term Care or the Recreation Field, Dunwoody will train motivated persons with a desire to work with older adults.

Payroll and Scheduling Coordinator
Dunwoody Village is seeking an experienced Payroll and Scheduling Coordinator.
Some of the key essential functions of the position include the following:
- Monitors all staff time punches and corrects timesheet errors daily.
- Ensures staff payroll is complete and accurate at the end of every pay period.
- Completes the schedule for the nursing department on a monthly basis; notifies the Director of Nursing of critical staffing needs on a daily basis and immediately as they arise.
- Uses OnShift to send open shifts as necessary as soon as the shift is available; ensures that overtime is only being offered if there is no other option.
- Posts the schedule at minimum of 30 days in advance for all Nursing Departments and notifies managers/administrators if there are staffing issues prior to posting.
- Communicates holiday rotations to staff and ensures proper coverage is handled during critical weather/emergency events.
- Maintains/updates daily CNA assignment sheets
- Handles phone calls from nursing services staff in regards to requests, callouts, and lateness and makes the necessary notations on the rosters/schedules.
- Tracks callouts in payroll and scheduling systems and notify the Director of Nursing and Human Resources when staff absenteeism needs to be addressed via performance counseling.
- Works closely with Administrative Assistants on each unit to train them on offering shifts to staff via OnShift and serving as a payroll backup as necessary
The ideal candidate is best described below:
- A minimum of 3 years of broad payroll and scheduling experience in a busy medical setting – preferably in a CCRC or Life Plan Community.
- A minimum of 3 years of comprehensive experience using the current payroll system and OnShift (Scheduling) or similar payroll and scheduling systems.
- Superb administrative skills with a detail-oriented approach to completing tasks.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office – including Word. Working knowledge of Point/Click/Care is strongly desired

Certified Nursing Assistant
Dunwoody Village is seeking a qualified Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) for available PRN/Pool shifts:
- 7AM-3PM
- 3PM-11PM
- 11PM-7AM
The Pool staff should be able to work some weekends, participate in our holiday rotation, and understand that they may be required to work on any of our various units.
Certified Nursing Assistant/CNA job duties include providing exceptional resident care according to Plan of Care, assist residents with personal care and hygiene and provide a safe environment for our residents and colleague
Eligible candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Must be a PA licensed CNA with current CPR certification
- Minimum of 2 years of long-term care experience and excellent assessment skills
- Point Click Care experience
