Now is a great time to view spring blooms in the various Delaware County garden spots found at local farms, gardens, and arboretums right here in Delaware County.

Styer’s Peonies in Chadds Ford is an epic farm that features 25 acres of peonies, writes Emily Kovach for PA Eats.

You can purchase bulk peonies and bouquets on the website, but you should walk or drive through Styer’s in the second half of May during its annual Peony Festival when you can experience 100 varieties of peonies in peak bloom.

Chanticleer in Wayne features a looping mile-long tour of different garden varieties, including a Ruin Garden with partial stone walls, reflecting pools, sculptures and trees representing the 1925 home that once stood on the property.

Stoneleigh in Villanova, once a family estate, was recently acquired by Natural Lands and is preserved as a free public garden.  A sunken Circle Garden is a Beaux Arts showstopper, and the bog gardens and meadow highlight the garden’s biodiversity.

Tyler Arboretum in Media is a 650-acre nonprofit preserve with 17 miles of hiking trails, gardens and plant collections, including a meadow maze and a butterfly house in late summer.
