Delaware County’s official tourism bureau, Visit Delco, is partnering with the sports digital platform Playeasy, co-created by Kerri Shield of Drexel Hill, a three-time All-Delco point guard for Archbishop Carroll High School in Radnor.

The goal is to use the Playeasy platform to bring larger and more frequent sporting events to Delaware County,, writes Peg DeGrassa for the Daily Times.

Visit Delco wants to showcase Delaware County’s as a premier sports tournament and event destination with its 30 sporting facilities, including the new WSFS Sportsplex outside of Subaru Park in Chester, home to the Philadelphia Union.

The platform connects 580+ event organizations with Visit Delco.

“The partnership was Playeasy was a no brainer for us,” said Visit Delco Executive Director Steve Byrne. “Not only does Playeasy make sense in helping us to grow our sports tourism category, but we also know that with Kerri at the helm, Delaware County will be in good hands.”

Playeasy was founded in 2018 and has become the largest digital network in the Sporting Event and Sports Tourism industry.

The platform builds awareness for sports organizations, generates leads, markets and services events, and collect economic impact data.
