Construction for a Wawa store and gas station in Newtown could begin soon, writes Jeff Werner for The Patch.

According to Newtown Township Supervisor John Mack, Provco is finalizing the land development plan to make way for the 5,500-square-foot store.

Once the plan undergoes its final review, a pre-construction meeting will be held before construction starts, which may last up to six months.

The required permits for the project have already been secured under the stipulation that Provco reduce the number of fueling dispensers to six at maximum, has a limited number of signs, to include EV charging stations, and install solar panels.
