A Movie Tavern Experience at This Year’s Media Film Festival

The Media Film Festival returns for two weekends and includes a movie tavern experience at the Towne House, writes Peg DeGrassa for the Daily Times.

The Media Arts Council announced the 17th Annual Media Film Festival on March 29 and 30 and April 4 through April 6, showcasing 52 films featuring local, national, and international talent.

On March 29 and 30, fans can enjoy movie screenings at the Towne House and return again from April 4 through April 6 for three days of independent short films at the Media Theatre.

The festival features films from nine international filmmakers, including the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Faroe Islands, and Turkey

Local and national films, including drama, comedy, documentary, experimental, animation, and student films, will also be shown.

The Friday Night Horror lineup is coming back on April 5 with seven horror films.

“It’s exciting to see the Media Film Festival continue to evolve, even after 17 years. and our wide variety of films!” said Brad Sukala, Media Arts Council board secretary and committee chair for the festival.
