A Philadelphia luxury hotel and a fine dining restaurant have received a five-star rating from Forbes Travel Guide for the second year in a row, while a local spa also received a five-star designation, writes Emma Dooling for the Philadelphia Business Journal

The Rittenhouse Hotel and Jean-Georges Philadelphia were the respective luxury hotel and restaurant, respectively, while the Spa at the Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia was the spa.

This is the highest recognition given by Forbes.

The former two both received the five-star designation for the first time last year, while the Four Seasons spa has held a five-star status since 2021.

While its restaurant and spa earned five stars this year, the Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia at Comcast Center dropped from a five-star designation in 2023 to four stars this year.

In 2021, it became the first Philadelphia hotel to earn the distinction.

This year’s four-star rating means the Four Seasons just missed out on the Triple Five Star status, which is earned when a property’s hotel, restaurant, and spa are all awarded five stars in the same year.

“This year’s list demonstrates the evolving focus the discerning traveler has on well-being and the desire for authentic destination-centric itineraries,” said Forbes’ President of Ratings Amanda Frasier in a statement.
