If you’re looking for some homemade sourdough bread delivered weekly right to your door, you might want to check out Wild Yeast Bakehouse in Rosemont, writes Richard Ilgenfritz for the Daily Times.

The microbakery runs out of the home of John Goncher in the Rosemont section of Radnor.

Customers sign up and pay in advance for one of the available bread share slots.

In exchange, Wild Yeast Bakehouse bakes and delivers a fresh loaf of hand-crafted bread to your door each week, four loaves per month.

Subscribers also have first access to special bakes and offers throughout the year.

Goncher started with about ten customers, but that number has climbed steadily, and today, he delivers about 120 loaves of sourdough bread to customers on the Main Line.

He now displays his product and service at the Media and Newtown Square farmers markets.

“That has been fantastic. It’s a great market. It’s a community that my delivery area doesn’t reach, so it’s a great add-on,” he said.

He produces about 350 loaves of bread a week, along with cookies and focaccia.

Locally sourced organic ingredients from mostly Pennsylvania farms and mills are used in the products.
