Perkasie resident Nikki Vasconez is a former lawyer turned pet communicator who charges $550 for a session where she ‘talks’ to your pets for 90 minutes, writes Katherine Bindley for The Wall Street Journal.

And her services are in high demand – she boasts a wait list of over 7,600 people.

Vasconez started her animal communicator career four years ago. A video she made early on with a dog named Albie went viral, which helped propel her career forward.

In the video, she said the dog told her he did not like his nickname. She added that he did not say what it was but that it made people think he was large and overweight.

“Those were his exact words,” she said. “I later found out his nickname was Big Al.”

The 34-year-old has connected with hundreds of pets during phone sessions with clients, including dogs, cats, and turtles. She also claims she communicated with horses, cows, and pigs as well as once with a camel and a bearded dragon.

She also claims that in addition to understanding messages from animals, she can channel their feelings in her own body.
