General Engineer

This position develops studies, plans, criteria, specifications, calculations, evaluations, design documents, performance assessments, integrated systems analysis, cost estimates, and budgets associated with the planning, design, licensing, construction, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of Exelon’s electric generation, transmission, distribution, gas, and telecommunication facilities/systems. He/she provides consultation and recommendations to the company within and to other business units and/or customers as a result of studying company or customer-owned systems, processes, equipment, vehicles, or facilities. The person also reviews financial data from budget and actual costs of projects.

The ideal candidate will possess a graduate degree or have completed graduate-level work in Engineering, Business Administration, or Project Management Certification. He/she will be a Licensed Professional Engineer and have strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to communicate with all management levels. The person will also have LRE (Lead Responsible Engineer) experience providing technical ownership, project team oversight, and Quality Assurance for Conceptual Design and/or Implementation of Transmission and Substation functions.

Senior Engineer — Distribution Standards

This position leads and performs assignments in specialized areas requiring extensive engineering expertise and leads and performs engineering tasks and projects associated with a critical or analytical engineering project or a small number of complex projects that require specialized knowledge in many areas. He/she evaluates, develops, implements, and leads projects that have significant financial and operational impact and plans, writes, and performs tasks for documentation deliverables and projects. The person also participates in department planning, attends meetings/conference calls, and provides budget recommendations.

The ideal candidate will possess a graduate degree or have completed graduate-level work in Engineering, Business Administration, or Project Management Certification. He/she will be a Licensed Professional Engineer and have strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to communicate with all management levels. The person will also have a working knowledge of analysis software packages (CYMDIST, PSS\E, Python, PSCAD, MATLAB, etc.), as well as the ability to analyze industry-wide trends and implement enhancements.
