WHYY editors and reporters are meeting with the public today and tomorrow to talk with the Delaware County community about the work they do.

Here’s a chance for Delaware County residents to give their input to the WHYY reporters who are writing stories about their towns.

WHYY is hosting a ‘pop-up’ newsroom in Media today and tomorrow, Sept. 13 and 14, at the Media-Upper Providence Free Library from 11 AM to 3 PM.

The goal of WHYY is to deepen its relationship with the communities it serves, writes the WHYY staff.

“Our news staff welcomes tips and feedback during our pop-up newsroom hours in person. We are here to listen to our audience and act on the stories you’d like to see WHYY News tell,” said Sarah Glover, vice president of News & Civic Dialogue at WHYY.

Attending will be WHYY reporter Kenny Cooper and suburban editor Madhusmita “Madhu” Bora. They will meet with residents and community members, answer questions, and talk about stories and issues affecting the community.

Cooper is a WHYY News multiplatform reporter covering the Philadelphia suburbs. Bora is WHYY News’ managing editor of suburban coverage.

In addition to giving input, residents will have a chance to learn about the WHYY newsroom and the newsgathering process.

Find out more about how you can be heard at these two pop-up newsroom events at WHYY.

In this WHYY Neighbors and Newsroom Summit, the focus is on collaborations between residents and reporters in South Jersey.
