Two liberal arts schools in Delaware County made a top 10 list for their contributions to the public good.

Two Delaware County colleges cracked a top 10 national list for their contribution to the public good, reports Washington Monthly.

In 2023, Swarthmore College placed 4th out of 200 liberal arts colleges in the nation for its contribution to the public good, according to Washington Monthly rankings.

Swarthmore College has a 95 percent eight-year graduation rate. It saw 56 Pell Grant graduates in 2023.

The college has a social mobility rank of 19 out of 200.

It placed first in research and 52nd out of 200 for community service.

It saw an earnings performance rank of 106 out of 200.

The net price of attendance for families that earn below $75,000 income is $8,954.

Haverford College placed just below Swarthmore at 5th in the nation.

It has a 92 percent eight-year graduation rate. There were 48 Pell graduates in 2023.

Haverford College carried a social mobility rank of 26 out of 200. Its research rank is 8th in the nation, and its community service rank is 14 out of 200 national colleges and universities.

The net price of attendance for families earning below $75,000 is $9,140.

It has an earnings performance rank of 97.
