For Lauren Bullitt, a Media native and Temple alumna, love was just across the Schuylkill, kindled after a roommate persuaded her to go to a Drexel University party so she could meet some high school friends of hers from Lancaster.

That’s where Lauren Bullitt and Alex Kirk met for the first time, writes Kellie Patrick Gales for The Philadelphia Inquirer.

“There was some interest on day one, for sure,” recalls Alex.

Lauren, too, was charmed by Alex’s kind demeanor, noting his love for dancing.

Their budding relationship took them on many adventures, from skydiving to scuba diving in Colombia.

Both transitioned to working from home during the pandemic, bringing them even closer together.

By October 2021, their love story had taken them to North Cape May, where Alex proposed amidst a surprise gathering of family.

The couple had their wedding at the Springfield Country Club with a traditional Episcopalian ceremony officiated by the Rev. Ernest Galaz of Christ Church Media.

After their honeymoon in Cartagena, Colombia, they settled down for some quiet time in their Conshohocken home, beginning their new journey together.
