Eastern University will welcome prospective undergraduate students and their families to campus for Open Houses on Saturday, Sept. 30 and Saturday, Oct. 21. Complete with tours, faculty meet-and-greets, and even a complimentary lunch, the events aim to offer a glimpse into the life of an Eastern student.

Eastern is a nationally recognized Christian university enrolling approximately 6,000 students in a wide array of undergraduate, graduate, professional, and seminary programs. The university’s main campus is located in St. Davids, with many programs also offered online.

Courtney Potter, an Admissions Counselor who graduated from Eastern in 2022 with a bachelor’s degree in Youth Ministry and Psychology, reflected on her admissions experience as a student.

“I remember meeting an Admissions Counselor at a college fair, and her overwhelming kindness and passion for Eastern inspired me to apply here,” said Potter. “Eastern was the first campus I visited, and I came for a Fall Open House. The campus is incredibly beautiful, and I immediately felt at home. I experienced and felt what it would be like as an Eastern student, and even though I visited plenty of other schools afterward, nothing compared to Eastern. I loved the campus, the location, and the small class sizes, which allow for personalized learning.”

Potter continued, “My Admissions Counselor was extremely helpful in moving me through the admissions process with ease. She answered every question I had and even showed an interest in my high school activities.”

It was a full-circle moment for Potter when she accepted a job as an Admissions Counselor, allowing her to pay it forward by helping students navigate the college admissions process.

“I love still being able to be a member of the Eastern community and showcase all the great aspects of the university,” she said.

Faculty members from various departments will be available to discuss your academic interests. Whether you’re into the sciences, arts, or anything in between, you’ll find a program that speaks to you.

Eastern offers more than 95 areas of undergraduate study, including bachelor’s degrees, minors, and pre-professional options. The university’s core values of Faith, Reason, and Justice are woven into all of its educational programs. Through dynamic programs, a vibrant campus community, and meaningful service-learning opportunities, Eastern is committed to providing students with transformative, accessible, and affordable education.
