A Delaware County Public High School Is 3rd Best in Philly. See If It’s Yours

8 Delaware County schools made a top 100 list of best public high schools in the Philadelphia area.

There were eight Delaware County high schools that made the top 100 list of best public high schools in the Philadelphia area for 2023 as compiled by Niche.

Radnor High School was third on the list of best public high schools.

Radnor earned an A+” for academics, teachers, and college prep, an A- for clubs and activities, and a B+ for diversity and administration.  The school’s 1,165 students were 89 percent proficient in math and 92 percent proficient in reading.

Other top 100 school districts from Delaware County included:

Unionville High School in the Unionville-Chadds Ford School District which placed 10th.

Strath Haven High School in the Wallingford-Swarthmore School District hit the 11th spot.

Garnet Valley High School in the Garnet Valley School District placed 20th.

Marple Newtown High School in the Marple Newtown School District came in 31st on the list.

Haverford Senior High School in the School District of Haverford Township placed just below Marple at 32nd.

Springfield High School in the Springfield School District was 39th best on the list.

Penncrest High School in the Rose Tree Media School District placed 41st.

Rankings are based on state test scores, college readiness, graduate rates, SAT/ACT scores, and teacher quality.
