Lansdowne Borough’s newest restaurant, Leo’s Café, officially opened Sunday with a ribbon cutting at 36 E. Baltimore Pike in Lansdowne, writes Peg DeGrassa for the Daily Times.

Owner Leonarola “Leo” Cruz was surrounded by family, friends, local government officials, and nearby residents who came by to check the place out.

The café can be found across the street from St. Philomena Church. It will offer breakfast and lunch from 7 AM to 3 PM Tuesday through Saturday, and 8 AM to 2 PM on Sunday.

It will be closed on Mondays.

For breakfast, patrons will find traditional American dishes such as French toast, omelets, and pancakes, along with Dominican breakfast items like mangu.

The lunch menu will include a wide range of salads, sandwiches, and homemade soups.

Empanadas are available for breakfast and lunch.

“Nothing on our menu is made with processed foods,” Cruz said. “Everything is fresh.”

Cruz has been a restauranteur for 25 years. She owned a restaurant in New York before moving to Delaware County, opening the former Leo’s Kitchen on West Chester Pike in Upper Darby.

She ran Leo’s in Upper Darby eight years before relocating to Lansdowne.
