Spring is peeking around the corner and it’s time to get planting. Here are six recommended neighborhood nurseries that have what you need, writes Steven White and Michelle Myers for The Philadelphia Inquirer.

Terrain

Terrain at 914 Baltimore Pike in Glen Mills has plenty of on-site plants and gardening hardware. You can even eat at its restaurant that features a seasonal menu with locally-sourced items.

GreenHorn Gardens

GreenHorn Gardens, at 2401 School Lane in Drexel Hill, has it all from perennials to houseplants, herbs, fruits, veggies and more. GreenHorn also offers short-term camps for kids interested in gardening.

Chadds Ford Greenhouses

Chadds Ford Greenhouses at 450 Baltimore Pike in Chadds Ford, offers exotic plants and local staples, with plenty on-hand for your early spring garden.

Wedgewood Gardens

Family-run for 50 years, Wedgewood Gardens at 1890 Middletown Road in Glen Mills, sells houseplants and a supply of spring perennials.

Taddeo’s Greenhouses

The Taddeo family has operated a greenhouse for three generations at 2326 St. Denis Lane in Havertown, buying and growing the best local seasonal plants possible.

Hillside Nursery

Hillside Nursery, at 110 Jackson Street in Clifton Heights, offers plants, bulk mulch topsoil, and stone, available for local delivery. Hillside also provides free estimates for landscaping services.
